 note = {Patient dental care is administered through two systems: “oral management system” that is aimed at preventing the onset of complications and alleviating symptoms during perioperative period, and “dental support system” that is required for all hospitalized patients to improve the state of their oral hygiene. We performed a survey to evaluate the status of requests for both services and the number of patients on an oral management system to prevent the onset of complications and alleviate symptoms perioperatively. The number of requests for both systems is increasing; however, there is a stronger demand in the treatment departments. For hospital departments with few requests for dental support we will emphasize the need for proper oral care. An environment (manpower, the number of chairs) for using the oral management system will be setup, and patients who cannot perform oral management will be covered, so that overall oral care will improve., Departmental Bulletin Paper},
