 note = {Departmental Bulletin Paper, The operation for synchronous gastric and rectal cancer conventionally requires a large incision. On the otherhand, laparoscopic surgery allows it with small cosmetic incisions. We performed laparoscopic radical operation for gastric andrectal cancer patient. He received laparoscopic distal gastrectomy (LADG) and high anterior resection of the rectum. We used5 ports for high anterior resection and added two ports for gastrectomy. We used small vertical incision on the epigastric regionfor retrieval of the surgical specimens and gastro-duodenostomy. He had no remarkable complications. Laparoscopic approachfor synchronous gastric and rectal cancer is feasible as minimally invasive surgery with better cosmetic results.},
